AMADEUS Festival Vienna is a prestigious yearly event that is dedicated to promoting the beauty of classical music through open-air concerts on the greenery and beautiful campus of the AMADEUS International School Vienna.
Alongside the wonderful performances, the festival is further expanding its reach into the arts with the International Design Competition and the first International AFV Art Exhibition.
The theme for AMADEUS Festival Vienna 2024 is DIVERSITY, promising to be another memorable and magnificent edition. Starting on the 27th of June, the fourth edition of the Festival will be held in Vienna, Währing.
Just minutes away from the bustle of the city centre, a new cultural centre will emerge, just outside the city centre.
THEME OF EXHIBITION: DIVERSITY
The theme of this exhibition is “Diversity,” celebrating the variety of people, cultures, art, and styles in a current globalised world. Staging the festival in Vienna, which is a melting hub, the exhibition is dedicated to showcasing talents from all around the globe – to create a unique diverse exhibition.

Duration of artists’ open call: 15 January – 15 March 2024

PARTICIPATION PROCEDURES:
Registration is FREE.
The application procedure will be in four steps as described below:
Step 1: Application Submission
Deadline: 15th March 2024 - via google form only
Applications submitted later than the deadline will not be accepted.
Application documents:
An application form -- the title, dimensions, medium, description, and intent of your work. The work is limited in size due to posting regulations.
2D works must be 40 cm or less in both height and width (including frame), complete with hanging parts.
3D works must not exceed 30 cm in any direction and weigh more than 15kg.
At least 3 digital pictures of each work – 600-800 dpi in .jpg or .tif format. Each applicant can apply with a limit of up to 3 different works. However, the final judgement of which works will be in the exhibition is the host’s decision.
CV English – brief, A4 size in .doc format. The information is important for marketing purposes, but will not affect the selection process.
Personal portrait photo – 400*600 dpi in .jpg format
You will be informed by E-mail on 22 April 2024 if your works are selected for the exhibition.

Step 2: Sending original artworks selected in Step one
Deadline: 07 June 2024 – last day to arrive in Vienna (12:00 Austrian Time)
Works have to arrive in Vienna, Austria, no later than the deadline.
Originals arriving after this date will not be included in the exhibition.
The organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage sustained during transportation.
The organizer is not responsible for any detention or delay caused by customs issues.

The works should be sent by registered air-mail in simple packaging. Applicants will be responsible for any shipping costs, taxes, insurance, customs fees… Packages with a declared value that has tax upon arrival will be borne by the artist and not the receiver. All selected works must be legibly labelled with the titles, dimensions, media, and dates of the work.
All works have to be with a prepared hanging system by the artist. If this is not prepared, the organizers reserve the right to arrange the work according to their possibilities and if this is against the entirety of the work, the organizers don’t take any responsibility. If this embarrasses or threatens other works, the organizers reserve the right not to expose the work having such a problem.
Step 3: The Exhibition
The exhibition will be held at the AMADEUS International School Vienna, from 27 June 2024 – 30 June 2024
The tax for a sold work will be borne by the artist.
The exhibition will be published on our social media, or any form of media that markets the exhibition.
The organiser will take a 10% commission on the purchase price of the sold work.
The artist will be informed if his/her work is sold, and the money will be transferred to his/her bank account.
Please inform the organizing committee in advance, if you, as the artist of an exhibit, would like to attend the preview/vernissage of the exhibition on the 21 June 2024.
Step 4: Return of the originals
All applicants will receive their work back between 01 July 2024 ~ 02 September 2024 (Depending on postage location). In case of any special circumstances, please inform the organizing committee for further discussion.
CONDITIONS FOR RETURNING THE WORKS
The organizer is responsible for returning the work and will cover the transportation expenses for the return.
BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS
The selected works will be exhibited and sold at the annual AMADEUS Festival Vienna where art lovers and collectors visit.
Participants will receive an AMADEUS Festival Vienna goodie bag and a certificate of participation from the Festival.
Artists and their works will enjoy exposure by media, engaging more than just the local Viennese scene but the international scene.
Participants will be engaged with artists from different backgrounds and experiences.
