AMADEUS FESTIVAL 2024 DIVERSITY

WELCOME TO AMADEUS FESTIVAL VIENNA

AMADEUS Festival Vienna is a prestigious yearly event that dedicates to promoting the beauty of classical music through open-air concerts on the greenery and beautiful campus of the AMADEUS International School Vienna.

In addition to the open-air concerts, the Festival is committed to enriching the cultural landscape by presenting diverse projects. These include the Art Exhibition, the International Design Competition, the “Violins&Soul” Competition, the “Pianos&Soul” Competition and the Family & Fun Day (a special day dedicated to the local community).

The theme for AMADEUS Festival Vienna 2024 is DIVERSITY, promising to be another memorable and magnificent edition.

JANOSKA WORKSHOP 2024 | 26 JUNE & 28 JUNE

After a very successful 2023 year, the AMADEUS Festival Vienna will be holding our fourth Janoska Ensemble Workshop. Musicians can have an insight into their amazing and unique style of music, as well as perform alongside them at the end of the workshop. The experience each musician will get will be beneficial to each, contributing to their musical paths.

We are sure that in 2024 the Janoska Ensemble Workshops will exceed our expectations us again. We hope to see many of our future stars become our founding participants.

AMADEUS FESTIVAL VIENNA

GREETINGS

Even in the days of the monarchy, Vienna was the music capital of the world - it was not for nothing that the greatest musicians such as Mozart (from Salzburg), Haydn (from Rohrau) and Beethoven (from Bonn) came to the Danube metropolis to perform their famous works of "Viennese Classicism" here to create and to be a role model for future generations of musicians.

Today, our Capital of Culture is dedicated to continuing this tradition, including the creation of excellent educational opportunities. In this context, in addition to “our” Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), I would also like to mention the Music & Arts Academy at the AMADEUS International School Vienna. Here young musicians from all over the world can familiarize themselves with the famous "Viennese sound".

As a showcase of these educational efforts, this year's AMADEUS Festival Vienna is a good example, which once again comes up with a number of "highlights", including the performances of the Janoska Ensemble and the violin duo of the sisters Nadia and Ljuba Kalmykova.

I would like to thank the Goh family for their many years of commitment to the music capital Vienna, and wish them continued success!

Dr. Michael Ludwig

Mayor and Governor of Vienna

I am very much looking forward to the fourth edition of the AMADEUS Festival Vienna 2024. This year's festival motto, "Vielfalt", is symbolic not only of the broad musical program that the festival has to offer but also of the district of Währing itself.

We attach great importance to diversity in the district, be it the leisure activities on offer for children, young people and adults, the diversity of nature an, of course, also cultural diversity. The AMADEUS Festival Vienna makes a significant contribution to this with its fantastic concerts by a wide variety of artists. I am sure that this year's program will inspire us once again!
